Sponsor/Reviews

Okay. Let me get this out there re: me doing SPONSORED reviews. For now, I do them. I will ALWAYS make it very clear that I got the shit for FREE. If for some magical wonderful reason I get paid to do the review in addition to getting the FREE shit, I will be singing from the mountaintops and I will make it VERY clear.

Companies contact me and want to send me stuff to review, and, because I don't REALLY like being an asshole (okay, only sometimes), I do my best to weed out the stuff that I'm pretty sure I'm/my readers are not going to like. I tell them, "NO. I do NOT want to review this particular piece of crapola" or something like that.

If you are a company pitching a product to me, PLEASE consider my niche first, and know that I can't review a product that I can't personally find a use for. If you are a reader thinking I'm all puppies and rainbows with my reviews, please remember that I screen this stuff first, send stuff back that I don't think will work, and, ultimately, try to only publish reviews of stuff I think you or other readers will find useful. I'm nice to PR agencies like that. Maybe this makes me weak. Maybe it just makes me ethical. Still an internal battle I'm dealing with.
